The Ritual List

The ritual list is arranged by level or circle. The rituals for each level are listed alphabetically. Remember that each ritual is defined for a particular mistical alignment (W = White, G = Gray, B = Black). Rituals marked with an asterisk (*) are lost and must be found during adventuring.

The First Circle

Center / 1 white
This simple ritual of meditation allows a mistic to find his or her spiritual Center and bring clarity to the mistic's thoughts, senses, and premonitions.

Imbue Path* / 1 special
With this ritual, the mistic weaves threads of the elusive Mists into the substance and essence of a single item.

Minor Circle of Protection / 1 white
A Minor Circle of Protection prevents any creature of the Path of Black from entering the circle or engaging the warded mistic. Furthermore, any 1st through 3rd level magics invoked by such creatures cannot enter the circle or affect the protected mistic.

Sense Magic / 1 white
Upon evocation, this ritual allows the mistic to detect and locate the presence of magic in a ten foot radius.

Sense Misticism / 1 white
Upon evocation, this ritual allows the mistic to detect and locate the presence of misticism in a ten foot radius.

Yes-Or-No Augury / 1 white
This ritual allows the mistic to ask a single yes-or-no question.

The Second Circle

Identify / 2 white

This ritual of divination allows the mistic to identify any magical, mistical, or special properties an item may possess.

Mistic's Armor* / 2 white
Created by the warrior-mistic Esshien, the ritual creates a suit of ghostly armor about the mistic allowing the character to take one hit from most weapons and from most spells equivalent to weapon hits.

Mistic's Light / 2 white
This ritual creates a shimmering area of pale, white light to illuminate a small area.

Moment of Strength* / 2 gray
Created by the warrior-mistic Esshien, this ritual grants the mistic a Moment of Strength.

Quiet / 2 white
Used primarily as a ritual of meditation and introspection, this evocation quiets and calms the presence, the voices, the empathy of the mistic's sense of the Three Paths (including the special sense of the Curi).

Translation* / 2 white
Calling upon the divinatory powers of the Path of White, this ritual grants the mistic the ability to understand any spoken and written language (as per the spell Translation).

The Third Circle

Hide Magic / 3 gray
With this ritual, the mistic draws upon the nothingness of the Mists to guise a single creature or item with the veil of twilight hiding them from Detect Magic or Sense Magic.

Hide Path / 3 gray
With this ritual, the mistic draws upon the blankness of the Mists to guise a single creature or item with the void of twilight hiding them from Sense Misticism.

Join / 3 white
This ritual allows two or more mistics to Join their powers and combine rituals.

Lesser Reservation* / 3 black
This ritual calls upon a cooperative spirit to serve as the temporary vessel for the mistic's evocations.

Sense Alignment / 3 white
Upon evocation, this ritual allows the mistic to detect and locate the presence of a specific Path in a ten foot radius.

Sense Traps / 3 white
Upon evocation, this ritual allows the mistic to detect and location of all traps in a ten-foot radius.

Speak With Spirit / 3 black
This necromantic ritual allows the mistic to contact the spirit of a dead creature (as per the spell Speak With Dead).

Turn Path / 3 gray
With the power of this ritual, the mistic causes any creature of the Path of White or the Path of Black in a fifty-foot radius that sees the mistic and hears the evocation to flee from the area.

The Fourth Circle

Augury / 4 white
This ritual of divination grant the mistic a brief glimpse into time to ask a single question about the near future.

Energy / 4 gray
With this ritual, a rudimentary form of the sixth level rite Lesser Form, the mistic summons a bit of the Mists and transforms it into a bit of energy that gathers about the mistic's hands.

Lesser Lay On Hands / 4 white
With this ritual, the mistic is granted the power to heal a Critical wound.

Petition / 4 black
With this ritual of summoning, the mistic calls upon a being of power in the hopes of drawing the attention of the creature.

Continuity* / 4 white
The power of Continuity protects the Circle of Protection from being physically broken.

Ritual of Two Vessels* / 4 black
This ritual allows the mistic to transfer mana from one mage to another.

Wrested Spirit* / 4 black
Upon evoking Wrested Spirit, the mistic directs the power of the ritual to seize control of an existing undead.

The Fifth Circle

Cauldron* / 5 black
This dastardly ritual empowers a small black iron cauldron to corrupt a draught of liquid to produce a potent poison.

Greater Circle of Protection / 5 white
A Greater Circle of Protection prevents any creature of the Path of Black from entering the circle or engaging the warded mistic. Furthermore, any 1st through 7th level magics invoked by such creatures cannot enter the circle or affect the protected mistic.

Lesser Focus* / 5 special
This powerful ritual allows the mistic to create a Lesser Focus, which shortens the length of the character's rituals.

Minor Creation* / 5 white
The unique rite of Lesser Creation draws to the mistic a single draught of the enigmatic Mists to be coalesced and fashioned into a corporeal item.

Mistic Weapon / 5 gray
Drawing upon the destructive power of the Path of Gray, this ritual imbues a single weapon with a bit of the Path of White or the Path of Black.

Moment of Fortune / 5 white
This protective ritual grants the mistic a single Feat of Luck to be used when needed.

The Sixth Circle

Animate Dead* / 6 black
With this black ritual, the mistic imbues a bit of spirit into the body of a dead creature creating an undead automaton (as per the sixth level Spirit spell).

Chalice* / 6 white
The answer to the Black mistic's Cauldron, the power of Chalice creates draughts of curing and healing.

Circle of Truth / 6 white
This ritual summons an area of righteousness and brightness where all thinking creatures must speak only the truth.

Lesser Form / 6 gray
With this ritual, the mistic summons a bit of the Mists and shapes it into a single 1st through 4th level spell effect.

Sanctuary / 6 white
Upon evocation, the power of this ritual grants the mistic Sanctuary from perception and attack.

Lying* / 6 black
The ritual of Lying allows the mistic to shroud the truth and guise a single creature's spirit in seeming honesty.

Voice of the Fog* / 6 gray
The power of this ritual binds a single creature's words in misty silence.

The Seventh Circle

Broken Memory* / 7 gray
This ritual causes the creature to forget any period of five minutes.

Calamity* / 7 black
With this mischievous curse, the mistic evokes and declares an area of misfortune, disturbance, even chaos.

Greater Lay on Hands / 7 white
With this ritual, the mistic is granted the power to heal a Mortal wound.

Prison / 7 black
With this dark ritual, the mistic binds a single mistical creature to a specific location or area such as a room, a section of path, or even a ten-foot radius area of ground.

The Eighth Circle

Bestow Moment of Fortune / 8 white
This ritual functions as per the fifth level ritual Moment of Fortune except the mistic may grant a single creature touched a Feat of Luck.

Greater Augury / 8 white
This greater ritual of divination grant the mistic a brief but more detailed glimpse into time to ask a single question about the near future.

Greater Form / 8 gray
With this greater ritual, the mistic summons a bit of the Mists and shapes it into a single 5th through 7th level spell effect.

Greater Reservation* / 8 black
This ritual functions as per the third level Lesser Reservation except it allows the mistic to hold the energy of one 1st through 10th level ritual.

Preservation* / 8 black
Akin to the eighth level Body spell Protection from Death, this powerful ritual allows the mistic to preserve the life of a single creature.

Unraveling / 8 gray
With this ritual of negation, the mistic calls upon the Path of Gray to unravel the misticism or magic of a single ritual or spell.

The Ninth Circle

Banish Path / 9 gray
This powerful ritual allows the mistic to banish a creature of either the Path of White or the Path of Black.

Bestow Sanctuary* / 9 white
This ritual functions as per the sixth level rite Sanctuary except the mistic may grant a single creature touched the protection of the Path of White.

Corruption* / 9 black
With this sinister ritual, the mistic fills the body, mind, and spirit of a single creature with Corruption.

Probition / 9 white
With this purifying ritual, the mistic fills the body, mind, and spirit of a single creature with Probition.

The Tenth Circle

Doom* / 10 black
With this powerful curse, the mistic lays a dark and imminent Doom upon a single creature.

Greater Focus* / 10 special
This powerful ritual allows the mistic to create a Greater Focus, which shortens the length of the character's rituals.

Hero / 10 gray
With this powerful summoning, the mistic evokes the spirit of an ancient warrior to imbue a single willing creature with strength and power.

Major Circle of Protection / 10 white
A Major Circle of Protection prevents any creature of the Path of Black from entering the circle or engaging the warded mistic. Furthermore, any 1st through 10th level magics invoked by such creatures cannot enter the circle or affect the protected mistic.

Major Creation* / 10 white
The unique rite of Major Creation draws to the mistic a single draught of the enigmatic Mists to be coalesced and fashioned into a corporeal item.

The Twelfth Circle

Rite of Life* / 12 white
With this potent ritual, the mistic restores the life and health of a single dead creature (as per the spell Restoration).

The Fifteenth Circle

Rite of Gray Sands* / 15 gray
This powerful ritual allows the mistic to slow and stop the passage of time.
